Systematic tasting, Old World vs New World, and why terroir is not a myth

Passed WSET Level 3 in 2023 with Distinction. The qualification covers the major wine regions of the world, viticulture and vinification, and systematic tasting using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine (SAT).

The most useful thing I took from the course was not a list of appellations but a vocabulary for disagreement — a shared framework for saying what a wine is doing, precisely enough that two tasters can actually compare notes.
