Plan a multi-course dinner as one arc

Ongoingcross-platform2026
Platform
iOS (SwiftUI, GRDB) and web (Next.js 15). Supabase backend built, not hosted yet.
What it does
A planning tool for home cooks who design multi-course dinners. You develop ideas, plate them by hand, and carry what you learned into the next dinner. It is for shaping a menu, not for picking recipes.
Highlights
- ▸Courses are shaped on a bench. Drag a part from the shelf onto the plate, then move it, turn it or send it back. The form, such as a pool, a quenelle or shards, is guessed from the name.
- ▸Seven ways to start a dinner: leftovers, in season, a haul, a past dinner, a theme, a roll or one component. A roll keeps what works and swaps the rest from your shelf first, then the taste network.
- ▸The dinner date switches the view from shaping to cooking, then hand-off, then a morning-after question about how it went. Lessons go back onto the ideas.
Architecture
The master object is the Idea. It outlives any one dinner and changes through new versions, never edits. An append-only event log is the system of record, and every screen is a projection of it. The iOS and web apps share event schemas and one set of design tokens. The live web app keeps everything on the device, with no account and no server, and all of it can be downloaded as one open file.
